Fall Protection
OSHA-required systems to prevent falls from heights above 6 feet on construction sites.
OSHA 1926 Subpart M requires fall protection for any work at heights of 6 feet or more. Options include guardrail systems, safety nets, personal fall arrest systems (harness + lanyard + anchor), and warning line systems. Roofers and steel erectors have specific requirements. Falls are the leading cause of construction fatalities; OSHA citations for fall protection violations are the most common and most severe.
